First off, we would like to congratulate Kaiden Biggins on his amazing performance this past weekend at the Submission Challenge Denver grappling tournament that took place in Aurora Colorado. Kaiden competed in both the Nogi and Gi division and place 3rd and 1st respectively. Way to go Kaiden. Your efforts in your Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are really starting to pay off in your Jiu Jitsu competition.
Now for the rest of the week …
Our youth program has a bit of a bonus week which will work out nice considering we noticed some things during Saturdays’ competition that need to be addressed during class this week. So, expect to learn a new/old choke and a specific counter that will make your time dealing with said choke much easier.
Our adults will be moving into module 4 of our fundamental curricula. Module 4 focuses on Side Control Attack, Side Control Defense and Standing techinques. Please make sure watch the videos on www.caioterra.com before you come to class. It will help you learn and understand the material much easier.
Saturday will have 2 events happening at our facility. We will be doing a makeup awards ceremony to catch anyone up on stripes and or belts that could not make the June promotions. The second event is a 2-hour Jiu Jitsu seminar featuring Mikey Musumeci! We should have guests from CTA Utah, Wyoming, CTA Arizona and CTA Oklahoma joining us for this event so please make sure to be the best and most gracious hosts to our visitors.
Lastly, we do want to remind everyone that next week the kids 4:30 class will be going back to 4:45 and we will also be adding a 6:15 BJJ adult class on Mondays!
