This past Easter weekend, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Ryan Cunningham to Otomi Martial Arts/Caio Terra BJJ for a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminar that left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
The focus of the event was one of the most important and powerful positions in all of Jiu-Jitsu—the mount. Ryan guided students through an in-depth breakdown of mount retention before progressing into a series of high-percentage attack options. From white belts just starting their journey to seasoned black belts, everyone walked away with new techniques, valuable insights, and a deeper appreciation for the position.
What truly made the seminar special, though, was Ryan’s incredible ability to communicate the art of Jiu-Jitsu. His teaching style was clear, thoughtful, and layered in a way that allowed practitioners of all levels to connect with the material. It’s rare to find instruction that resonates so universally, but Ryan delivered just that—and then some.
Our team was genuinely grateful to have him travel and share his knowledge, and the energy on the mats reflected that. There’s something incredibly motivating about learning from someone who not only understands the game, but also has a gift for teaching it with passion and precision.
If you’ve ever wondered whether Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu could be the right fit for you—or even if there’s just the slightest chance you’re curious—we’d love to invite you to try it for yourself. Give us a call or text at (720) 926-5122 to schedule your free two-class trial. There’s no pressure—just an opportunity to experience what so many of us have come to love.
We’re grateful for weekends like this one, where learning meets community and progress is shared by all. Thank you again, Ryan, and thank you to our amazing members who make events like this so meaningful. We can’t wait to see what’s next!
