At Otomi Martial Arts, we believe that dedication, perseverance, and service to others are hallmarks of a true martial artist. Today, we are thrilled to celebrate one of our own, Nichole Knight, as she earns the rank of black belt in the Caio Terra Jiu-Jitsu Association!
Nichole has been a pillar of our academy, leading by example both on and off the mats. Whether she’s teaching classes, drilling with teammates, or simply making sure the gym is in top shape, she embodies the spirit of commitment and generosity that defines our community. Her willingness to give back through countless hours of service speaks volumes about her character and passion for Jiu-Jitsu.
Her journey to black belt began several years ago when she first stepped onto the mats alongside her daughter. While she started with a different team, her path eventually led her to CTA, where she dedicated herself to training with focus and determination. That dedication paid off when, on January 15, 2025, Nichole had the incredible opportunity to test for her black belt in front of Professor Caio Terra himself. The test was comprehensive, requiring technical precision and deep knowledge of the art. True to form, Nichole rose to the occasion and proved that she was more than ready for this achievement.
Having a female black belt within our academy is not just an accomplishment—it’s an inspiration. Nichole’s presence and leadership will help guide the next generation of athletes, showing them what is possible through persistence, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to the journey.
We are beyond proud to have Nichole as part of our CTA black belt ranks, and we can’t wait to see how she continues to impact and shape the future of Otomi Martial Arts. Congratulations, Nichole! This achievement is well-earned, and we are honored to celebrate with you.
